Homemade Trail Mix Granola

Makes: aprox. 750 gr of homemade granola
Nutrition: per portion (50gr): 211 Kcal; Fat: 10,2 gr; saturated fats: 3,5 gr; monounsaturated fats: 2,46 gr; polyunsaturated fats: 3,38 gr; carbohydrates: 20,9 gr; Sugars: 7,86 gr; Fiber: 4,53 gr; Protein: 6,32 gr; salt: 0,54 gr.

Preparation and cooking time: 35 to 40 mins

  • 300 gr organic rolled oats
  • 75gr hemp hearts
  • 75 gr of organic pumpkin seeds
  • 100 gr dried mixed berries
  • 25gr chopped walnuts
  • 25gr almond flakes
  • 100 ml molasses or maple syrup
  • 3 tsp of coconut oil
  • 1 coffee spoon of sea salt
  • 1 full teaspoon cinnamon

1 Pre-heat the oven at 160ºC.

2 Blend the ingredient together, either using food processor or with your hands or utensils.

3 Place a baking sheet in a oven tray and pour to mix onto it. Oven for 30 min, but I would advise to keep an eye on it. You want a caramel colour, not a dark brown in the oats (some areas make look darker because of the molasses and cinnamon combo).

Voilá, granola!!

Enjoy as you´d like! See as image above – i reduced a few strawberries to puree in a blender and poured soya yogurt and some granola; you can add to your morning milk or vegetable drink, to your yogurt, etc.

Store your homemade granola in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks in a dry environment.
