Simple Homemade Granola

Makes: aprox. 500 gr of Homemade Granola
Nutrition: per portion (50gr): 190 Kcal; Fat: 9 gr; saturated fats: 3,5 gr; monounsaturated fats: 2,1 gr; polyunsaturated fats: 2,4 gr; carbohydrates: 20,1 gr; Sugars: 4,2 gr; Fiber: 2,5 gr; Protein: 5,9 gr; salt: 0,5 g

Preparation and Baking time: 35 a 40 mins

INGREDIENTS |

  • 250 gr organic rolled oats (you can use any gluten-free option or any other cereal/grain)
  • 100 gr of organic pumpkin seeds (or any other mix of nuts and seeds)
  • 50 ml date syrup or 50 ml honey (alternatively, you can use 120 gr of dates but these have to pressed to a pureé, you may have to add to the melted coconut oil in a food processor)
  • 2 tsp of coconut oil
  • Pinch of Himalayan salt

PREPARATION |

1 Pre-heat the oven at 160ºC.

2 Blend the ingredient together, either using food processor or with your hands or utensils.

3 Place a baking sheet in a oven tray and pour to mix onto it. Oven for 30 minutes or more (depending on the oven) but I would advise to keep an eye on it and stir it every now and then. You want a caramel colour, not a dark brown in the oats (some areas make look darker because of the date syrup/honey and cinnamon combo).

Voilá, granola!

It can be served with natural yogurt, you can add to the milk or vegetable drink for breakfast, so many other options!

Store in a air-tight cointainer for up to 2 weeks.
